The 13 Best Dr. Seuss Quotes – We Are All A Little Weird 5

If you ask any of my family members or friends they will tell you that I am weirdo. But you know what? I am 100% happy with that! Being weird means rarely having a boring moment. Being called weird is a compliment not an insult. It’s who I am and it makes me feel unique, which, is a truly amazing feeling.

The thing I love about Dr. Seuss is that he encourages us to embrace our inner weirdo. What he’s really trying to teach us is how let our inner child loose, how to be authentic.  In our adult life we spend so much time stuck in the hustle and bustle of work and other aspects of life that we forget that it’s okay to be silly. There’s a difference between maturing and growing up, and I for one never want to grow up.

I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient to living, it’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. These are things I encourage you to do as they allow you to laugh at life’s realities.

wherever you look.

Sit back and relax,

all you need is a book.

What is the weirdest thing you have ever done?

  • This is fantastic! I live by this lifestyle myself. Live a fun life never grow up. You got some really good quotes too I never fully realized the brilliance of Dr. Seuss.

    • Oh I was supposed to respond with the weirdest thing I have ever done? … I think the question is what have I done that’s normal?

From decorating my running shoes with sharpie to covering the walls of my bedroom with sketch-paper so I live in an ever evolving art project I live fun life with no restrictions.

Cassie Kohrs, another friend Swanky, and I once all dressed up in fake blood and dead girl makeup then went out for the night. We showed up at two different bars and then a local Wall-mart. We got many confused stares and took some hilarious photos. It was a lot of fun and worth a few new blood stains in my car 😉

Like Peter Pan…I always sing,”I’ll never grow up, I’ll never grow up, I’ll never grow up!, and I mean it! God Bless you I was smiling the whole of the time I was reading the quotes. Thanks for sharing! Daniel R. Simmons

How delightful. I LOVE Dr. Seuss. Sometimes all we need to do in life is to release our imprisoned inner child, justvto stay sane in this world. Loved this, thanks.

  • I was enjoying this list until I realized this quote “We’re all a little weird. And life is a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness—and call it love—true love.” is actually from the works of Robert Fulghum, True Love
